I recently stayed at the Blue Mountain Bund Youth Hostel for the second time. It was a great choice for my trip to Shanghai. The location is downtown, close to the metro, making it easy to access both downtown and the airport. The hostel itself is clean and well-maintained, with small lights at each bed and slippers available for purchase. The rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bed and hot showers. The staff are friendly and speak good English. I had a fantastic experience at the Blue Mountain Bund Youth Hostel.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hostel is perfect, just a stone's throw away from the East Nanjing metro station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. You have access to multiple food stores and shops within a short walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean, providing a cozy space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff is friendly and always willing to assist with any needs. Additionally, the common areas are fantastic, offering a pool table and a rooftop view of the city.
One downside is that the noise from the busy street and nearby construction site can be bothersome at night.

Very good location, 3 minutes walk from famous Nanjing road. Very frendly English speaking personnel. You may easily know any information about the city from reseption personnel. Clean and comfortable rooms, better then we have expected for such low price.

We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade on check-in, giving us a spacious room with two floors and a huge balcony. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the location couldn't have been better. Just a 5-minute walk to E Nanjing road metro, it was right on the shopping street and close to the Bund. The hostel had great facilities like washing machines and dryers, a rooftop area, and a lovely bar. The staff were helpful and kind, making our experience even better.
Would recommend this hotel.

Cosy common area and the toilets are clean. There are laundry servcies at the back which are priced pretty reasonably.
The room that I stayed is a little small. It differs from what I see in the photo gallery.

I recently stayed at a youth hostel in Shanghai and had a great experience. The location was ideal, as it was right in the center of the city, just a short walk to the nearest metro station. It was also conveniently close to NanJing road and a Yang's dumplings, which made exploring the city and finding delicious food very easy. The room was clean and the bathroom facilities were well-maintained. The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly. it was a wonderful stay with many amenities and a perfect location.
The only downside was that the common room could be a bit crowded at times.

You can't go past the location - it made it so easy to get out and explore with no knowledge of the city. The deluxe room was great but in winter, the heat from the heat pump doesn't reach the living area so I spent most of my time toasty warm in the upstairs bed area. Would be great in warmer temperatures! The staff were really helpful and spoke english quite well.
Having to pay in cash on arrival, this is still not clear enough in the web page / confirmation page. It's not the greatest looking place, on arrival but just ignore that and enjoy the tidy room and proximity to Metro, shopping and sightseeing.
